PROBLEMAttendees of the Network Working Group meeting needed to know when and where each event would be held.
MECHANISMThe note lists six events in order, with start times and rooms at Project MAC and the Center for Advanced Engineering Study.
WHAT IT ISIt is a one-page logistics notice that updates earlier meeting notices and defines no protocol.

§1Overview

RFC 234, by A. Vezza and dated October 5, 1971, is the meeting schedule for a Network Working Group gathering. It lists six numbered items and updates RFC 204 and RFC 222.

It is purely logistical and contains no technical specification.

This is just a list of what happens when and where.

§2Workshops and Tutorial

The System Programmers Workshop starts at 12 noon on Sunday October 10th in the 8th floor conference room at Project MAC, 545 Main Street (Technology Square), Cambridge, Mass. The NIC Tutorial starts at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday October 12th in the 2nd floor Console Area.

The Protocol, TIP and Date Management Workshops also start at 9:00 A.M. on October 12th. Attendees meet in the 5th floor conference room for a short briefing, where the rooms for the three workshops are announced.

First come the smaller classes, where people who do the same kind of work meet in rooms.

§3Plenary, Dinner and Panel

The Plenary Session starts at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday October 13th in the Center for Advanced Engineering Study Auditorium, Room 9-150. Cocktails follow at 5:30 P.M. in the Faculty Club Penthouse, with roast prime ribs of beef served at 7:15 P.M. in a Faculty Club dining room.

A Panel Discussion closes the meeting at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday October 14th in the same auditorium.

Everyone meets in one big room, then has dinner, and on the last morning a few experts talk together.
