PROBLEMThe M.I.T. site needed to start receiving Network Working Group memos.
MECHANISMThe note gives the mailing address for Abhai Bhushan at Project MAC and his phone number.
STATUS TODAYIt obsoletes RFC 10 and was updated by RFC 24, RFC 27 and RFC 30.

§1M.I.T. Joins the Mailing List

This one-paragraph note by Steve Crocker, dated 27 August 1969, says that M.I.T. is now to receive all Network Working Group memos.

Memos should be addressed to Abhai Bhushan at Room 807, Project MAC, 545 Technology Square, Cambridge, Mass. 02139.

It tells people where to send copies of the group's papers for one school.

§2Contact Details

The note also gives Abhai's phone number, (617) 864-6900, extension 5857. There is no protocol here, only a distribution address.

It also lists a phone number, like a name card.

§3Place in the Series

This RFC obsoletes RFC 10 per the unit metadata and was later updated by RFC 24, RFC 27 and RFC 30. The text itself ends with a note that it was restored to on-line status by Walter Pienciak.

It replaces an older note and was itself touched up by newer ones.
