Network Working Group P. Karp
Request for Comments: 99 MITRE
NIC 5758 22 February 1971
NETWORK MEETING
The next meeting of the Network Working Group will be held in Atlantic
City, New Jersey coincident with the SJCC. The Wicker Room of the Dennis
Hotel has been reserved from Sunday, May 16 at 8:00 pm. through
Thursday, May 20 at 6:00 pm.
Since it is not possible to reserve a block of hotel rooms, we will
attempt to locate all of the attendees at the same hotel by handling
reservations through MITRE. Prospective attendees should contact my
secretary Mrs. Marybelle Goodson, 703-893-3500 Ext. 2316.

§1The Meeting Announcement
RFC 99 announces that the next meeting of the Network Working Group will be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, at the same time as the SJCC. The Wicker Room of the Dennis Hotel has been reserved from Sunday, May 16 at 8:00 pm through Thursday, May 20 at 6:00 pm.
It says where the club will meet and for how many days the room is saved for them.
§2Booking Rooms Through MITRE
It was not possible to reserve a block of hotel rooms. The author therefore proposes to try to place all attendees at the same hotel by handling reservations through MITRE.
Prospective attendees are asked to contact the author's secretary, Mrs. Marybelle Goodson, by telephone.
Because the hotel would not save a bunch of beds, one office will collect everyone's requests so the whole group sleeps in the same place.
§3Where It Fits
The RFC is a one-page note by P. Karp of MITRE, dated 22 February 1971. It defines no protocol and has no technical content. The unit metadata records that RFC 116 updates it.
It is just a friendly notice, not a set of rules for computers.
